Checker Sedan and Checker Cab are members of the Soave Enterprises group of companies.

Checker Sedan was founded in 2000 by Soave Enterprises. Its goal is to create a higher level of luxury sedan service at reasonable prices. It offers airport pick-ups and drop-offs, as well as point-to-point and as-directed (hourly) luxury sedan service. It is the official curbside sedan service of Detroit Metro Airport.

Checker Sedan's Group Sales Division (formally Commuter Transportation Company) has operated luxury motor coaches since 1986. It was acquired by Soave Enterprises in 1996, and continues to offer luxury motor coaches and mini-buses for jobsite transportation, parking lot shuttles, group airport & hotel event shuttles, local charters within a 500-mile radius of Detroit and more..

Checker Cab Company is the oldest and largest association of cab operators in Detroit. Founded in 1921, it operates over 500 cabs from its Trumbull facility in Detroit. It is the only cab company capable of serving the entire city of Detroit.
